Orgy of the Undead!

It was real fun drawing  and coloring this. It’s a gig poster for “Demonika’s Symphony of Horrors 5: Orgy of the Undead”. Sexeh!!! Splats and Textures are by fellow artist and friend, Godmachine. Go buy his Art Pack, I highly recommend it. Link to his store here.

Those Who Lie Beneath

It’s hard to do a shirt design with a huge wolf’s head in front without it looking like someone else’s design, but I think I managed to pull it off. Phew!

Free shirts!!

Author: Uzi  |  Category: Uncategorized

A few weeks ago 3 shirts arrived in the mail, 2 of which I designed myself.

This was one of the early designs I did, and also one of my favorites. I did this just 6 months ago but you can see how much my technique (and my drawing tablet haha) has changed since then. Thanks to Ashley!

I also got a copy of the tee I did for Texa$. Sweeet print! Thanks to the Texa$ dudes and Adam of MCuts! I’m really happy with these 2 shirts. This is the first time I got myself printed tees of my own designs.

Back in the streets again.

Author: Uzi  |  Category: Uncategorized

It’s been a while since I painted on the streets. I did this one as a favor for someone who was doing a video documentary of the street art scene of the city (Cebu). Didn’t quite like how this one started, as it was raining during the time I painted, but it turned out pretty cool. Took me just an hour to do, since it was raining and I had to hurry.

Live art for Halloween at the park.

Author: Uzi  |  Category: Uncategorized

Earlier today, I was asked to paint in public for a Halloween party at AsiaTown/IT Park. It’s been half a year since the last time I held a can of spraypaint and paint live, and it took some time to get used to again. I got exhausted right after the first hour of painting! Thankfully, one of the city’s best young artists, Sam Pipebomb, arrived and helped me finish the piece. Me and my boys always paint unprepared/on-the-spot for these gigs. Wurd.

I just discovered that one of my old art professors in college wrote about me & this site in his weekly column in the paper. Read it here:

Those Who Lie Beneath (2)

Second shirt for Those Who Lie Beneath. Real awesome guys to work with.

Kitty!

Author: Uzi  |  Category: Uncategorized

Didn’t really post it up here right away, but a couple of weeks ago my Wacom Intuos4 finally arrived in the mail. yay for me. I gave it a quick run, and here is what I came up with. Probably took me about an hour to finish this (the hi-res is biig). It’s my cat, Monggo-Jerry, and he looks pisssssed.

Those Who Lie Beneath

Author: Uzi  |  Category: Uncategorized

I’ve always wanted my art to go towards this direction, but never really had the chance to. I was pretty stoked when Those Who Lie Beneath hit me up to do something “blasphemous and evil” for them. This is one of the 2 shirts I’m doing for the band. Hope you like it.

Executioner – All Shall Perish

Author: Uzi  |  Category: Uncategorized

This was a personal piece that got picked up by ASP. I submitted a warmer and more intense color version of this design to the band, but they wanted designs with subdued tones, something a bit more “metal”. I didn’t have to do much work tweaking the colors the way they wanted, as this was how I actually colored the design in the beginning.  Ahh… shit and blood truly are the colors of metal.

Winds Of Plague

3-color design for Winds of Plague. Had loads of fun doing this piece. The back of the shirt will say “Follow the leader upon a pale horse”. Hope you like it.

Suck my deck.

Author: Uzi  |  Category: Uncategorized

I actually don’t skate because I’m such a pussy, but I’ve been very, very interested in designing skate decks lately. I’m definitely going to do more designs on decks in the future. Designing skateboards feels different, and I love the challenge of creating art on a narrow canvass. Will probably color this just for fun, but I think it looks good in plain old B&W already. This was fun.

Did all this in one sitting, by the way. Phew!

*Update:

I finally colored this one and it’s actually loads better. I can’t show it yet though, but I’m pretty stoked about this one getting printed!

Experimenting

Author: Uzi  |  Category: Uncategorized

Just trying out some album art. Will be working with a couple of bands on some EP covers soon.

Brutal Knack

Author: Uzi  |  Category: Uncategorized

One of my first few experiments with Manga Studio. It’s an old design that I reworked extensively and reduced to 2 colors.

I really liked this one and I would’ve printed it for myself if nobody had picked it up soon.  Sold to Brutal Knack clothing. Will be available in a couple of weeks, I believe.

Ides of March

Author: Uzi  |  Category: Uncategorized

Still sorting things out with Nath of Ides Of March. Seems like a nice guy so I’m just being patient about things. Thought I’d post this already though.

Texa$

I got myself a new laptop and a new tablet when Adam of Machete Premium Cuts hooked me up with this Canadian zombie-horror metal band. I also switched drawing programs. This one turned out pretty cool, in my opinion.

Assasinate The Following
